Record B-School Placements at Great Lakes, Gurgaon Campus
GURUGRAM : Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, one of the premier management institutes in the country, witnessed the best-ever placement season for its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) Class of 2022. The PGPM, which is Great Lakes’ flagship one-year full time MBA program for young professionals, commenced in July 2021, and within 5 months, the batch got placed, setting a new record. Further there has been a very significant increase in both the quality of roles and compensation offered with the average CTC increasing to INR 15.6 lakhs from INR 12.1 lakhs the previous year – a growth of 29%!
The season witnessed both increased offers from existing recruiters as well offers from new recruiters leading to students getting excellent opportunities as well as increased compensation. The top recruiters this year included marquee firms like Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, Genpact, Infosys, KPMG, L&T InfoTech, Paytm, TCS, Great Learning, Tiger Analytics and Droom, to name a few.
Commenting on the overall growth of the campus Dr. Debashis Sanyal, Director, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, said: “The last two years, while being challenging, have also seen Great Lakes, Gurgaon, achieving many significant milestones. We became the youngest B-school in India to receive AMBA, UK, accreditation, and followed it with NBA accreditation this year. We could also attract some amazing faculty, and our research publications in top tier journals have also increased significantly.”

Reflecting the profile of the class with students having pre-MBA experience in diverse industries ranging from 2-8 years, Consulting (41%) emerged as the largest recruiting sector followed by IT/ITES (30%) and Fintech (18%). Students were offered various coveted roles in Analytics, Digital, Business & Functional Consulting, Digital Operations, Finance, Product Management, Operations & Marketing, etc. There were also some very niche roles offered in Digital Operations in terms of Business Transformation, Project Management and Performance Improvement.
Key Highlights:
● Large number of offers by sought-after firms like Accenture, Deloitte and Paytm
● Average CTC increased by 29% to INR 15.6 lakhs p.a. with the highest domestic CTC being INR 19.3 Lakhs p.a.
● Average post-MBA CTC was 3.1 times the pre-MBA CTC for PGPM Class of 2022 – a growth of 210% in less than a year.
