Regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren
A meeting of the organizing committee for the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in general subjects in the 2020/2021 academic year was held on the ZOOM platform in the format of a video conference.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Karelia (N.V. Karmazina, Deputy Minister, Chairman of the Organizing Committee), the Karelian Institute for the Development of Education (E.G. Bogdanova, Vice-Rector of KIRO, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, S.V. Gurshtyn, Regional Coordinator Olympiads from the Republic of Karelia), Petrozavodsk State University (Yu.V. Semenova, Head of the Department of Pre-University and Career Guidance) and the Resource Center for the Development of Additional Education (SI Nachinova, Director of the RMC DOD RK Rovesnik).
During the workshop E.G. Bogdanova announced the results of the consultative webinar of the organizers of the Olympiad, which took place in all regions of Russia, and the main idea voiced at the last event was the setting for holding the regional stage of the Olympiad in full-time mode, observing all measures to prevent coronavirus infection (thermometry, seating of participants, airing, disinfection air in classrooms). An important point was the absence of comments during the Olympiad on the territory of the Republic of Karelia.
In 2021, the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren will be held from January 12 to February 25, the Olympiad will be held in 22 subjects, in our republic, schoolchildren from all districts will take part in the Olympiad.

Petrozavodsk State University participates in the regional stage of the Olympiad – representatives of the teaching staff are included in the subject-methodological commissions, head the jury of the Olympiad in all subjects, the Olympiad in a number of subjects is held in the buildings and laboratories of the university.
The representatives of the organizing committee expressed the hope that the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in 2021 will be held to the maximum in its usual full-time mode.
The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is held within the framework of the Development Program of the flagship university and vocational guidance work of the university with the support of the Department of pre-university and vocational guidance work and educational institutions of PetrSU.
