Registration Department hosts E-stamping training for stamp vendors

Kathua: On the directions of Inspector General of Registration and under the Supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Registration Department Kathua, today organised e- stamping training programme for stamp vendors here at Conference Hall of DC office Complex.
E-stamping training programme was presided over by ADC Atul Gupta in presence of ACR, Devinder Paul; District Registrar, Suresh Chander and the officials of the Department.
About 50 stamp vendors from the various tehsils of Kathua district attended the training programme. The officials of Registration Department imparted the training to stamp vendors with regard to online e-stamping.
Addressing the stamp vendors, the Registrar said that e-stamping is a secure web based system to facilitate the collection of stamp duty, helps in tackling counterfeiting and make the payment of stamp duty easier and glitch free.
During the training programme, the stamp vendors raised the issue of their commission with regard to which they were asked to submit a memorandum to the Registrar and the same shall be submitted to the higher authorities for redressal.
