Research activities of schoolchildren

Teachers of the Department of Sociology and Social Work N.L. Fadeeva and E.N. Luzgin took part as experts in the annual city conference “The Future of Petrozavodsk”.
This year, teachers evaluated the scientific research of schoolchildren in two sections: “Socio-economic sciences” and “Social studies”.

The work was carried out in two stages. At the first stage, the teachers directly assessed the scientific style, the quality of the research and independence in the work, and at the second stage, the projects were defended, during which the participants had the opportunity to discuss the topic and ask questions.

The topics presented at the conference were more relevant than ever. These are issues of distance education, and motivation for learning, and professional self-determination of schoolchildren, and the problems of employment of adolescents, and goal setting, management of their own time.
