The Department of German and French languages together with the public organization “Friends of France” held a quiz for all residents of Petrozavodsk who are fond of the history of France. There were 20 questions in total, 15 of which were about the general history of France and 5 questions were about the sister city of La Rochelle.
Thanks to the virtual form of the competition, the geography of the participants went beyond Petrozavodsk and the citizens of the Republic of Belarus also sent their answers to the competition.
The questions were serious, requiring a search for information in various sources, which, apparently, affected the small number of answers compared to the previous quiz “Do you know France?”
The jury members carefully studied all the submitted works and their design, determined the following winners:
1st place – Viktor Palashov, 2nd year undergraduate student in the direction of “Jurisprudence” of PetrSU.
2nd place – Yanke Maksim Andreevich, teacher of the “Gymnasium No. 30” municipal educational institution, Petrozavodsk.
3rd place was shared by:
Nikolay Prigodich, pensioner, Republic of Belarus.
Korkacheva Yulia Sergeevna, Neosystems North-West LTD.
The winners will receive certificates and prizes. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the issue of rewarding will be decided on a personal basis with each winner.
The organizers would like to thank everyone who took part in the quiz and plan to carry out various regional cultural events aimed at studying the culture and history of France in the future.
