RWTH Aachen University Secures Strong Position in QS Sustainability Ranking, Emphasizing Commitment to Sustainable Practices

The QS Sustainability Ranking evaluates universities worldwide based on their sustainability. In the current ranking, RWTH Aachen University is ranked 127th out of almost 1,400 universities and is in an excellent fifth place among the 48 German universities.

 

The ranking is based on 53 indicators in nine areas. RWTH is particularly strong in the area of “Environmental Research” with 95.6 out of a possible 100 points. This looks at the publication performance of scientists on the topics of sustainability and the environment. The University performs similarly well in “Health and Wellbeing” with 95.4 points. In addition to the publication indicators on health and water, the assessment also includes health facilities, such as a psychological counseling center. “Employability and Outcomes” covers various indicators, such as the University’s reputation with employers, partnerships with industry and the question of how well prepared graduates feel for their job. RWTH is also rated well here with a score of 95.3 points.
