RWTH: ExAcT coordinates the new state portal at RWTH

The Open Resources Campus NRW (ORCA.nrw) is a new cross-university online portal of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for studying and teaching. This provides openly licensed and quality-assured educational materials and services for teachers and students. The ExAcT department of the Center for Teaching and Learning Services at RWTH Aachen University (CLS) acts as the university didactic contact point for network coordination between ORCA.nrw and RWTH Aachen University.

In addition to technical materials, basic information on the subject of e-learning is available and there is an exchange opportunity for teachers. The educational materials are Open Educational Resources (OER), which means that all interested parties can use, edit and republish them for their own teaching and learning. The portal thus creates a “culture of sharing” within the 42 participating educational institutions and serves as a further training opportunity for teachers and students, emphasize those responsible.
