RWTH: RWTH is the Best University for Start-Ups

Most start-ups originate at or from a university. The “Top 50 Start-ups” platform has now published a university ranking on start-ups for the first time, with RWTH Aachen University taking first place.


The ranking is based on three criteria. First, the number of founders who studied at the respective university is decisive. Of the founders of the top 50 startups from 2021, 17 graduated from RWTH Aachen University. Funding institutions and programs as well as the numbers of EXIST startup grants and research transfers from the respective universities were also included in the evaluation.
