RWTH: RWTH Scores Highly in U-Multirank
RWTH Aachen University once again enjoys great results in the international university ranking U-Multirank. The ranking is initiated and financed by the European Commission and follows a multidimensional approach, with scores ranging from “very good” to “insufficient” for a large number of indicators.
Overall, the University received scores of “very good” and “good”” for 22 of the 27 indicators that were evaluated. RWTH particularly stands out in the areas of teaching & learning and knowledge transfer. Seven out of eight indicators were rated “very good” for knowledge transfer, for example in the number of publications in collaboration with industry, patent applications, and spin-off companies.
In addition, RWTH was ranked in the subjects biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, computer science, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, as well as industrial engineering in four specializations. Chemistry achieved the grade of “very good” a total of 12 times, while biology and physics achieved the top grade nine and eight times overall, respectively.
