RWTH Shine In THE Impact Rankings
RWTH Aachen University participated in the THE Impact Rankings for the very first time and it achieved very good results. The Times Higher Education magazine, THE for short, has been publishing these rankings since 2019. Currently, 1,591 universities have been evaluated against the 17 United Nations Development Goals.
RWTH is particularly strong in the development goal “Industry, innovation and infrastructure”, ranking eleventh worldwide with 99.7 out of a possible 100 points. Research income from industry and the numerous University spin-offs contribute to this.
In the development goal “Decent work and economic growth”, RWTH Aachen University is ranked 88th and is therefore also among the top 100 universities worldwide. Nationwide, it can claim an excellent second place behind the FU Berlin.
In the overall ranking of all universities, RWTH is ranked second in Germany together with the University of Constance. Only those universities that have competed in at least four development goals are considered here.
