“Save River Clean River” drive launched at River Jhelum from Zero Bridge to Peer Zoo GPO

SRINAGAR : In connection with the activities being held under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Chief Engineer Irrigation & Flood Control, Kashmir Naresh Kumar today launched Save River Clean River” drive at River Jhelum from Zero Bridge to Peer Zoo GPO Srinagar.

The initiative has been undertaken Under Clean India program during which River Festivals are being organized from 15th to 25th December(10 days program).

During the 10 days programme different activities are being carried out including awareness programme plantation drive, painting exhibition, signature campaign, cultural programs.

Today’s programme was organiseing by Irrigation & Flood Control Department in collaboration with Tourism, Rural Development, Urban Forestry, Jal shakti, SMC
