Scores of grievances redressed at weekly Block Divas meetings across Samba
SAMBA : As a part of ongoing Good Governance week, District Administration Samba today organized Block Divas meetings across sub divisions of Samba, Vijaypur and Ghagwal for effective public services delivery and redress of public grievances.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, participated in block divas progamme at Samba where she listened and addressed the public grievances in presence of Sarpanches, panches, District officers and local public.
Delegations from different Panchayats and individuals appraised the Deputy commissioner about various issues and demanded piped water connections, adequate power supply, maintenance and construction of roads, coverage of left out families under social security schemes and raised many other local issues.
Responding to the demands, the Deputy Commissioner directed line departments to share details on scheduled power cuts and achievements recorded under different government sponsored schemes. She further asked them to document the grievances of the people and send an action taken report to her office.
On the occasion, the line departments also set up their departmental stalls and educated the public about the guidelines, eligibility for availing the benefits of different schemes. They also informed them about application pendency status, Aadhaar-linking, CSCs services, employment schemes besides other government sponsored schemes.
Similar block divas programmes were convened by Sub Divisional Magistrate Vinay Kumar, and Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramkesh Sharma at Vijaypur and Ghagwal respectively.
