Seminar “The experience of wooden housing construction: past and present”
Teachers of the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences of PetrSU took part in the online seminar “The experience of wooden housing construction: past and present”.
On September 16, the State Historical, Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve “Kizhi” (Republic of Karelia) and the Forest Museum “Lusto” (Finland) held a seminar “The experience of wooden housing construction: past and present”. The event was held with the assistance of the Department of YHECKO “Study and Preservation of Wooden Architecture” and the Research Institute of Historical and Theoretical Problems of Folk Architecture of Petrozavodsk State University.
The seminar was attended by 89 Russian and foreign participants, among whom were leading restorers, architects and specialists in the field of wooden housing construction in Russia and Finland, researchers and teachers.
The forum discussed the issues of modern and traditional wooden housing construction in Russia and Finland, discussed the experience of operating wooden architecture monuments, presented the presentation of the Forest Museum “Lusto” (Finland) and the museum-reserve “Kizhi”.
