Issues related to the beginning of the school year, the most important innovations in the system of school and pedagogical education, the construction and repair of schools, school meals were raised at the VIII All-Russian Parents’ Meeting, which was chaired by Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov. The meeting was held in the format of an open interregional dialogue with involvement from all federal districts of the country.

Opening the meeting, the Minister stressed that all schools are ready to accept 17 million schoolchildren on September 1.

“We have no plans to transfer schools to distance learning. Schools will always operate in a traditional format. No one can replace the teacher, ” he said.

At the same time, he noted that the digital educational environment is an additional opportunity for the teacher, who determines the teaching methodology based on his or her experience and an individual approach to the child.

Sergey Kravtsov also added that the measures prescribed by Rospotrebnadzor will be strengthened to ensure the health of students and teachers.

“I ask you to treat these measures with understanding. Their observance allows continuing education in full-time mode, ” the Minister noted.

Answering the question on restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Minister of Education stressed that there will be no requirements for children related to vaccination. Vaccination is recommended for educators as an effective way to protect their health, but only on a voluntary basis.
