Series of BOCW registration camps held at Drabshalla, Chatroo areas
Drabshalla: A series of awareness camps were organised by Labour Department in Drabshalla and Chatroo areas for the registration of Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) to enable them to avail the government warfare scheme meant for them.
The team of labour department headed by labouer officer Fulial Singh, under the overall supervision of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Anoop Kumar discussed and made the participating labourers aware about various social security schemes meant for labourers. The camps were held with due observance of the COVID19 protocols at BDO office Drabshalla on 1st and 2nd September 2020 and at BDO office Chatroo on 3rd and 4th September 2020 to facilitate the registration of Labourers at their door step.
A total of 139 registration forms at BDO office Drabshalla and 120 at BDO office Chhatroo were collected from eligible workers on the spot during these camps.
It is pertinent to mention here that registration of construction and other workers is being conducted on fast track basis under the Mission Mode Project launched by govt. through labour department.
The next awareness-cum-registration camp is scheduled to be held on 7th and 8th September 2020 at BDO office Mughal Maidan.
The BDC chairpersons, concerned BDOs besides the field functionaries of the health, police and RDD were present in these camps.
