Session of the section “Actual problems of modern education and vectors of their solution”

Within the framework of the 72nd All-Russian (with international participation) scientific conference of students and young scientists at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU on November 25, a meeting of the section “Actual problems of modern education and vectors of their solution” was held.
The section was attended by students from IPP, FTI, IBEAT, ILGiSN, as well as from the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Professional Education, Moscow State Pedagogical University (Moscow). The youngest participant of the conference was Liya Teryushkova, a student of the 11th grade of the Gymnasium №30 of Petrozavodsk.

A wide range of problems were discussed during the conference. In their speeches, students touched upon the theoretical aspects of the theory of teaching and upbringing of students and pupils, shared their experience of using gaming technologies in school, extracurricular and project activities of students, touched upon issues of narrative psychology, professional training of future teachers. In today’s difficult conditions, distance learning becomes relevant, which is also reflected in the reports of the participants.

The speeches, which took place online, caused an active discussion of the jury members and the student audience.

The jury included teachers of the Department of Theory and Methods of General and Professional Education: N.N. Shevchenko, L.I. Ermakova, N.N. Ilyina, E.A. Raevskaya. The main expert of the conference was the director of the secondary school №43 AA Hantsevich.

The first place was awarded to the 2nd year student Anna Aleksandrovna Pakhomova (Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies) for her presentation “The role of the teacher in overcoming the conflict between students” (supervisor – Associate Professor LI Ermakova).

The second place was shared by a 5th year student (Physics and Technology Institute) Ivan Aleksandrovich Smirnov, with the topic of the report “Students’ Project Activities as a Way to Implement a Competence-Based Approach at School” (supervisor – Associate Professor GM Yanyushkina) and a 3rd year student.

Fofanova Alexandra Vladimirovna (Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies) for her presentation on “Sexuality education and education of adolescents in the educational process of modern schools” (supervisor – Associate Professor NN Shevchenko).

The third place was shared by a 4th year student Veronika Andreevna Konovalova (Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology) for the report “Extracurricular activities of students using technology at school” (supervisor – Associate Professor E.V. Liya Alekseevna Teryushkova for her presentation on “Attitude towards the law and fear of punishment for high school students with deviant behavior” (supervisor – Associate Professor Yu.Yu. Teryushkova).
