Sharda University Student Secures Spot in Upcoming FIVB Men’s World Championship

Sharda University proudly announces that one of its students, Tanishq Chaudhary, B. A ( Hons) student, has been chosen to participate in the forthcoming FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) Men’s World Championship to be hosted in China from July 28th to August 8th. This selection comes after an intense competition involving over 50 teams from across India at the KIIT University campus.

The athlete honed his love for volleyball while growing up near Datiyana village, located in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Watching his father farm piqued his interest in the game leading him to develop a passion for it since childhood. Later, in 2019, upon joining LPN Club, coached by Mr. Vipin Tyagi, his skills began to flourish rapidly eventually resulting in recognition by key sports officials nationally.

Expressing his views, Tanishq said, “I am very excited to represent India in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Under-21 World Championship. I have been working hard for this, and I am confident that I can contribute to the team’s success. I would like to thank my coaches, my family, and my friends for their support. I would also like to thank Sharda University for providing me with the opportunity to play volleyball.”

Following his impressive record such as winning Bronze medals during the Delhi Junior Nationals, attaining both gold and bronze finishes through the Youth National Championships, taking part in the prestigious Iran U-19 World Championships as part of Team India, featuring in AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) Challengers, and claiming the Silver accolade within the U20 Asian Volleyball Championship; culminated in Sharda University offering unwavering support alongside sports officer Puneet Kumar who contributed immensely in helping reach this milestone moment.
