Shopian Bakers sensitized about notification of FSSAI

Shopian: Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Shopian, Gh Qadir today had a meeting with bakery shop-keepers of district today.
On the occasion, the officer sensitized bakery shopkeepers of the district about the notification issued by the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) regarding mandatory mentioning of best before date on every packet of bread and sweets etc from today.
While describing food safety closely linked with health, he asked the bakery shop owners to keep their premises and surroundings clean as practicing good hygiene and maintaining cleanliness are necessary for preparing safe food. They were also asked not to use inferior and adulterated raw material for making bread and sweets.
