Siberian Federal University: Siberian Federal University holds a career guidance festival in the CIS countries
As part of the Russian Space: Science and Education Project, Siberian Federal University is holding a large-scale career guidance festival in the CIS countries. Residents of Tajikistan were the first to learn about studying in Russia and entering SibFU.
On November 29 and 30, 2021, the festival was held at the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University. SibFU representatives told schoolchildren about Russian education, Siberian Federal University, the number of state-funded places, entrance examinations in 2021, incentives for gifted applicants. They were also able to get acquainted with the areas of SibFU training at entertaining master classes and lessons in mathematics, mining and oil business, Russian language and programming. The most active participants of the event received gifts with the symbols of the university.
The academic staff of the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University got the information about advanced training courses at SibFU’s Centre of Continuing Education. Thematic seminars were held for school teachers and parents. Parents were consulted on the admission rules and conditions of study at SibFU.
In addition, a popular science program was organized for everyone, which included experiments, a science show, a lecture hall, a quest, VR tours of the ISS.
”SibFU annually enrolls 150 citizens of Tajikistan, there is a SOMON union of Tajik students. We cooperate with the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University in the areas of academic exchange, exchange of educational and methodological materials. The purpose of this festival is to bring our cultures closer together and tell about the possibilities of Russian education not only for schoolchildren, but also for the adult population in terms of advanced training and professional retraining”, said Denis Guts, Vice–rector for academic affairs.
The event is supported by the Russian Embassy in Tajikistan.
On December 3-5, 2021, within the framework of the Russian Space: Science and Education Project, the career guidance and popular science festival of the Siberian Federal University starts in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
