Siberian Federal University: SibFU Grows in the International Ranking of Young Universities

From the best 1526 of the global ranking THE, experts selected 475 young universities which were created less than 50 years ago. The methodology used to assess universities is the same as THE WUR, but with an emphasis on the missions of young universities.

The experts used 13 calibrated performance metrics to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparison trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and government.

The performance indicators are grouped into five areas:

teaching;
research;
citations;
international outlook;
industry income.
Siberian Federal University has demonstrated steady growth in all indicators, having increased citation three times and almost doubled international outlook.

THE Young University Rankings has been published since 2012, but Russia has been present only since 2017, and until 2019, only the Higher School of Economics represented our country. SibFU entered the rating in 2019 and annually increases its indicators. This year Russia doubled its representation in the ranking, two more educational institutions were included in the list for the first time: Kazan National Research Technological University and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation
