In this paper, Jeong and Ham proposed a new quantitative risk assessment method to calculate the economic damage of Busan Port due to the ammonium nitrate explosion accident using GIS and 3D explosion simulation.

Woosong Jeong is a Navy student who is being educated as a military commissioned trainee. He said, “As a result of constant research in the field of disaster prevention safety and disaster management, it is rewarding to have good results. I would like to contribute to national and naval disaster safety management and disaster prevention policies based on what I have learned and researched in the future.”

Taeyuun Ham expressed his gratitude to his professor Hong Sic Yun, Dr. Jaejun Lee, and Dr. Moonsu Song (Post-Doc. in SKKU) saying, “As a student studying disaster prevention and safety, I think it is my duty to minimize damage as long as I have confirmed the risk that disasters and accidents can occur. I will make further efforts to contribute to the safety of the people in the future.”
