SAINT signed MOU with German company MBraun (CEO Patrick Bieger) for the management of ‘SAINT JEON LAB-MBraun Application Laboratory’ on October 27th (Thu.) at 5 pm at SKKU Second Research Complex.

On the day of the contract, various personnel participated, including SAINT Vice-Director Sung Joo Lee, Professor Il Jeon, MBraun CEO Patrick Bieger, and MBraun Korea CEO Geun Wook Kim.

MBraun, the world’s best inert gas processing environment and technology-possessing company selected the SAINT and the laboratory of Professor Il Jeon, as their contract partner because of the institution’s high employment of MBraun equipment and the possession of Korea’s best non-lead perovskite solar cell authentication efficiency with that equipment.

Through this contract, German company MBraun plans to contribute to the international industry-academic exchange and the advancement of Korea’s technology development by proceeding with the following:

▲Provision of advanced equipment

▲Accumulation of big data related to non-lead perovskite-based energy cells and nanocarbon-based secondary batteries

▲Continuous feedbacks

▲Korea-Germany Workshops to encourage exchanges

▲SAINT-MBraun Joint SNS Marketing

MBraun Germany CEO, Patrick Bieger, said “We would like to invest KRW 1 billion equivalent amount of equipment to SKKU Prof. Jeon’s Lab. This is an unprecedented investment case in the company’s history, focusing on a particular university, and SKKU will be the very first partner of this kind.”

SAINT Professor Il Jeon also said, “Non-lead eco-friendly perovskite solar cells and optical sensors have reported the best performance, both domestically and internationally, since the core technology of these high-performance devices was supported by the processing technology of MBraun’s equipment.”
