SN Hall Poetry Competition

Aligarh: Shiraz Khan won the recently concluded online ‘Poem Writing Competition’ in the English language category held at the Sarojini Naidu (S N) Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) to observe the Sir Syed Day and to mark the eventful centenary year of the University. Sana Afreen and Faizan Ahmad were the winners of Hindi and Urdu categories respectively.

Sumaiya Ahmad Khan and Amna Shameem secured the second and third positions respectively in the English category; while Layba Noor stood second and Sadaf Khalid was declared third for Hindi poems. Nazly Siddiqui was the first runner-up and Simran Gilani the second runner-up in Urdu category.

“E-certificates have been mailed to the winners,” said Prof Shaheen (Provost).

All the three competitions were on the topic, ‘Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his Contributions Toward Women Empowerment’.
