Sociologists took part in the conference “Global Social Processes 2.0”

St. Petersburg State University hosted the second sociological conference of young scientists on the topic “Global Social Processes 2.0: Transformation of Social Reality in the Context of Digitalization and Pandemic”, which was attended by representatives of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of PetrSU.
During the scientific event, topics related to the study of global changes in the economy, the transformation of labor markets, the social foundations of the digital economy, in particular, the development of Internet commerce, e-government, distance learning, problems of the development of ecological consumption, issues of social response to the global COVID pandemic were discussed -19.

At the conference, 2nd year students of the Sociology direction Valeria Popova and Nikita Nikiforov made reports on “Rumors and their impact on society in a pandemic: sociological analysis” and senior lecturer of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Ph.D. E.N. Luzgin with the report “The current state of the youth labor market, on the example of a virtual job fair”.

Following the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of articles with indexing in the RSCI database.
