SPbPU participates in the international youth forum “Engineers of the Future – 2023”
The International Industrial Youth Forum «Engineers of the Future — 2023» is an annual event for young specialists and engineers. It was organized with the participation of leading companies — Rostec State Corporation, Union of Machine Builders of Russia, Association of Defense Enterprises Assistance League, Rosmolodezh and others. The Youth Forum was supported by the Government of the Tula region and was held in the village of Bunyryovo in the format of a summer camp. The event was truly large-scale — more than 1000 participants represented Russia and 70 other countries.
The program was very rich: an educational part in 15 different areas; a business program with about 500 speakers from more than 60 leading Russian industrial holdings and scientific organizations; exciting excursions around the region; cultural and sporting events. As well as an exhibition of exhibits and products of innovative developments of the largest enterprises that are members of the «Union of Machine-Builders of Russia».
Polytechnic University sent one of the best foreign students of SPbPU, a 2nd year Master’s degree student of the Graduate School of Physics and Material Technologies of IMEM&T, a citizen of Indonesia, Imanullah Teguh, to participate in the forum. The national team, which included Imanullah Teguh, developed a project on cleaning and utilization of space debris within the «Aircraft Modeling and Flight Dynamics» area.
The key issues discussed during the discussions at the forum concerned improving the quality of Russian technological developments in the field of mechanical engineering in the context of accelerated import substitution and the need to use domestic products.
In my opinion, this forum is very important for young professionals and graduate and postgraduate students. I am glad that I had a chance to take part in it. A huge opportunity is provided by the organizers of the forum for exchange of experience and ideas among beginners and advanced engineers. For me it was very useful that I was able to learn what specific tasks and challenges there are now in the strategic industrial sectors of Russia, and how I can help as a young specialist to solve these problems. That is, it is not just for the sake of personal and corporate rankings, but also for the advancement of technology, science and for the good of the world, said Imanullah Teguh.
