SPbPU Ranks Among Top 150 Most Powerful Global University Brands

The British agency Times Higher Education has published the annual World Reputation Rankings 2023. SPbPU entered the ranking for the first time, immediately placing in the range of 126-150. Among Russian universities SPbPU shared the fourth place with MIPT and NSU. In total, 200 leading world universities are represented in the ranking, of which six are Russian universities.

In a few days the Polytechnic University will be 125 years old, and during this time the university, as they call it, has kept its mark. Our scientists show high results in research, students occupy high positions in various championships and Olympiads, and international activities are actively carried out. Polytechnic’s inclusion in THE World Reputation Ranking is a confirmation of our prestige and an indicator of the successful work of the entire university team,” said Andrei Rudskoi, Rector of SPbPU, Academician of the RAS.

SPbPU is widely known as a leading technical university in terms of the number of international students: we have more than 5000 students from a hundred foreign countries. Polytechnic actively establishes cooperation with universities in Africa, Asia and CIS countries. Such results help our university to strengthen its position among the world’s leading universities,” commented Maria Vrublevskaya, Acting Vice-Rector for Advanced Projects at SPbPU.

THE Reputation Ranking is based on the results of a survey of representatives of the global academic community. Experts evaluate universities in the field of research and education. The 2023 ranking takes into account about 38,800 responses from experts from 166 countries.
