SPbPU’s Andrei Rudskoi Appointed to United Russia’s Supreme Council
On December 17, the XXI Congress of «United Russia» rotated the Supreme and General Councils of the party. Annual rotation of members of the governing and central bodies of the party is supposed to be in accordance with the legislation and the charter of the party. Andrei Rudskoi, rector of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, joined the Supreme Council.
In addition to Andrei Rudskoi, the Supreme Council of «United Russia» included Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Leonid Pasechnik, head of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, head of Ingushetia, Andrei Kartapolov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Andrei Kartapolov, chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region, Vadim Berezhnoy, head of the clinical medical and surgical center of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk region, as well as other representatives of the party and the Young Guard.
Participants of the United Russia congress unanimously supported the nomination of Vladimir Putin for the Russian presidential election in 2024. They voted for it at the plenary session. The leader of the state, in turn, thanked the party for its trust and said that it was very important and significant for him.
