Reflecting Stevens Institute of Technology’s commitment to preparing its students for an increasingly complex and technology-centric world, U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School Rankings has several programs ranked in the Top 100 — and one in the Top 50 — nationally. The largest jump goes to Stevens School of Business, which rose 24 spots to No. 53 Best Graduate Business School in the nation and No. 2 in New Jersey.

“This impressive ascent represents how the School of Business is at the forefront of transforming business education around the world,” says School of Business Dean Gregory Prastacos. “Focusing on providing cutting-edge academic programs, delivering impactful research, emphasizing student success, hiring top faculty and creating an inclusive and supportive environment have been key to our success.”

The School of Systems and Enterprises also made a statement with the rise of its industrial engineering graduate program, which jumped to No. 41 in the nation — up from No. 47 last year — tying with other prestigious programs from Dartmouth College and New York University. Industrial engineering at Stevens has a long history of excellence, with the program consistently ranking among the top 50 in the country during the last decade.

Other notable rankings, all from the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science, include:

Best Graduate Engineering (Biomedical), No. 79 (up from No. 82)

Best Graduate Engineering (Chemical), No. 84 (up from No. 97)

Best Graduate Engineering (Computer), No. 71 (up from No. 79)

Best Graduate Engineering (Environmental), No. 77 (up from No. 81)

In addition to its rigorous curricula, Stevens is also committed to developing innovative solutions to the most challenging problems of our time. Research centers across the university, such as Stevens Institute on Artificial intelligence (SIAI) and the Center for Research toward Advancing Financial Technologies (CRAFT), continue to amplify Stevens’ impact on rapidly changing industry sectors.

“From pioneering cutting-edge fintech research with CRAFT to leading the future of management curricula through MaCuDE (Management Curriculum for the Digital Era), we are ushering in a new era of how business education prepares students to become innovative problem solvers and agile leaders in a constantly changing digital economy,” Prastacos says.
