On July 15, a presentation of cases to solve to students took place. Among the experts are Rosatom, PJSC Norilsk Nickel and Russian Railways and others. Experts from Petrozavodsk presented the students with a case study on the creation of creative tours in the city (the “Opening the Country” direction for those who intend to lay new routes and create a tourism brand, develop domestic tourism and services). The case does not have a specific solution. Students are given complete freedom to be creative.
The Tourist Information Center of the Republic of Karelia and CreatePtz are actively involved in the development of the city of Petrozavodsk as a creative center in the Barents Region. In creative tourism, there is an opportunity to attract more interesting people to the city, who will contribute to the development of the competencies of local “creatives” – designers, architects, marketers, IT specialists, fashion designers, gastro designers, art curators.
At the same time, Petrozavodsk already has its own creative potential, which can surprise not only Russian, but also international colleagues.
The organizers of the site report that creative tourism has become a tool for the growth of creative industries in Russian cities, and Petrozavodsk has been taken as a model city so that the solutions developed here can be applied throughout the country.
Students can try their hand at any field, even not corresponding to the main specialization of study. At the same time, the guys themselves decide: to develop in one or in several directions of the “Your Move” competition .
