Students are trained in the direction “Pedagogical education (with two training profiles)”, profiles “Primary education” and “Education in the subject area of the native (Karelian) language”, therefore participation in scientific events on such topics is part of their professional training.

Yulia V. Litvin, Ph.D. in Philology, teacher of the discipline “Introduction to Ethnopedagogy”, noted:
Presentations at the conference were informative and certainly useful for the students. At one of the upcoming classes, a discussion of presentations will take place: projects, programs in the system of ethnocultural education, as well as new concepts and methods that enable future teachers in their native languages to increase the efficiency of their work and the representativeness of their materials.
Natalya Antonova, methodologist of the public organization House of the Karelian Language (Vedlozero village), lecturer at the Department of Theory and Methods of Primary Education at PetrSU presented her message “Make a start in Karelian” at the plenary session of the conference.

We thank Natalya Nikolaevna Antonova for a valuable gift – her books, which she donated to the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. A colorful and modern practical guide will replenish the complex of literature that provides the study of a number of disciplines of the profile “Education in the subject area of the native (Karelian) language”, and, of course, will be useful for students – future teachers of the Karelian language,
