Students spread the message of Happiness during first Annual Day of Amity Global School Gurgaon
Gurgaon: Amity Global School (AGS) Gurgaon celebrated first Annual Day on the theme “Euphoria – for a Happy World” at School campus, Sector 46 Gurgaon.
The function was graced by Prof (Dr.) Hastings McKenzie, Dean of Academic partnerships, University of Northampton, U.K; Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group; Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools; Ms. Sapna Chauhan, Vice Chairperson, AmiOwn Schools; Mrs. Pooja Chauhan, Vice Chairperson Of Amity Humanity Foundation; Mrs Jayshree Chauhan and Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology, Fine arts and Performing Arts
During the occasion, the students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 12 of Amity Global School, Gurgaon, participated in the fun and frolic extravaganza. They presented a musical dance drama- “Euphoria” for a happy world highlighting the importance of happiness. Being happy, showing love to someone, doing and saying something kind or even giving a smile can make others happy.
The students represented the 23 countries of the world in the play and had elements of individuals, families, societies, countries and the world with reference to internationalism to foster inter-cultural understanding which represented to make a difference by bringing about happiness all over.
Lauding the wonderful performance by students, Prof (Dr.) Hastings McKenzie said that through the play the students emphasized the importance of being happy. The youngsters are the budding future leaders who will lead the world to be a happy place. He mentioned that University of Northampton is proud to be associated with Amity as both the institutions share similar vision of providing global education and opportunities to students.
Sharing his views, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan said that the students have an extraordinary talent. He apprised that Amity believes in providing exposure to its students that will help them achieve a successful global career.
Addressing the gathering, Dr.(Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools said that Amity thrive towards making students, responsible citizens. She emphasized that it is important for every individual to be happy especially children as these joyful children make their family and society happy and work towards ensuring a happy and peaceful world.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Arti Gupta, Principal, Amity Global School Gurgaon shared the school report including its history and achievements of AGS, Gurgaon.
The school choir and the talented orchestra played melodious live music throughout the play. The orchestra included the piano, drums, bass and acoustic guitars, cello, violin, flute and clarinet. Students performed different genres of dance like Oriental, Caribbean and Contemporary.
The event was attended by the dignitaries from education sector of United Kingdom, parents, teachers, staff and Principals of Amity schools.
Amity Global School, Gurgaon, is part of Amity universe since its inception in 2008. The school follows two international curricula, International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
