Swachhta Pakkwada: 15 day programme will be celebrated

Aligarh: Swachhta Pakhwada was inaugurated on 1st December by 1UP Engr Coy NCC; AMU. The program will continue for 15 days and will have series of events like speech, plogging (jogging and picking up litter), cleaning of public parks, shramdaan (cleaning of historic monuments) and related activities.

At the inaugural function commanding officer 1 UP Engr Coy NCC, Col. Manish Shrivastava, Major Fareed Mahdi, Major Mohd Israil had deliberation on the importance of civic sense for keeping surroundings clean and emphasized the additional responsibility of NCC cadets in creating awareness among the common masses regarding cleanliness.

In another function 15 days event, Swachata Swachhta Pakhwada was also inaugurated by 1/8 company and 2/8 company of 8UP Battalion, NCC Unit AMU. Commanding Officer of 8UP Battalion addressed the cadets and them briefed about 15 days schedule and were instructed to participate.

Large number of officials, staff and cadets were present during the inaugural function.
