Tata Literature Live! Sports Yatras

New Delhi: The next session of Tata Literature Live! Sports Yatras is a must-watch for all cricket lovers. Witness Mr. Boria Majumdar, Sports Historian, and Author, and Mr. Gautam Bhattacharya, Sr. Editor & Author in a discussion around their book ‘1971 – The Beginning of India’s Cricketing Greatness’. The book takes us through a thrilling account of the 1971 twin tours, where India first beat the West Indies team in a test series on their home turf, and then emerged victorious over England- in England, the book brings to life the on-field excitement and the backroom drama.

The duo will be reliving the glory of the historic year in Indian cricket and will be in conversation with Indian Cricketers and Commentators – Mr.VVS Laxman and Mr. Aakash Chopra, along with Mr. Gundappa Vishwanath, Indian Cricketer and also a Member of the 1971 winning team.

 

This session holds significance for another important reason as well. As you know, we recently lost the key pillar of the Tata Lit Live team, Mr. Anil Dharker, Festival Director and Founder of Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, who left for his heavenly abode on March 26, 2021. This is the first session after his sad demise and so the session will begin with Mr. Boria Majumdar paying a short tribute to him.
