PetrSU Rector Anatoly Voronin about the Priority-2030 program:
Petrozavodsk University is actively developing a development program and is going to participate in the competition for the program of strategic academic leadership “Priority – 2030″. Our university, together with partners, participates in the creation of a consortium, which will allow us to jointly ensure the implementation of joint educational, scientific and innovative projects. I am sure that the Priority 2030 program is a huge leap forward in the development of higher education and science in our country in the formation of new scientific knowledge and training for the regions.
On June 24, 2021, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov officially announced the start of the competitive selection for the Priority 2030 program, noting:
The program launches a competitive mechanism. Universities need to show success and dynamics every year. All this contributes to internal development, when we go far ahead and implement interesting projects. The program is an additional chance for the development of the university. The goal of the program is that in 10 years more universities of the 3rd generation will appear, that is, those that combine education, science and innovative entrepreneurship, transform ideas and knowledge into technologies . ”
Alexander Mikhailovich Sergeev, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences , commented on the launch of the Priority 2030 program:
The new program focuses on training for a Russian employer. Personnel for that industry, for that business, for that customer, for that employer who must and will determine the technological future in our country. ”
Andrey Volkov , Director of the Institute for Public Strategies of the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management:
The Priority 2030 program aims to support three university development trajectories: education, research and innovation. It is important to note that the new structural and project consortia that will be created within the program will allow universities to effectively conduct a dialogue with colleagues, quickly exchange scientific developments, quickly adjust their trajectory of transformation and develop new interdisciplinary areas for breakthrough research . “
