The first IT camp “Intellectual Karelia” was held in Urozero
On August 21-24, 30 students from all over the Northwest took part in a new IT project.
The IT camp program consisted of lectures, master classes and real cases from enterprises of Karelia. Participants were able to try their hand at any of the educational blocks: “Big Data”, “Internet of Things” and “Artificial Intelligence”.
The lecturers were representatives of the largest companies in Russia: Konstantin Mikhailov (Founder, SAYMON company), Ekaterina Krivtsova (Head of Virtualization Development Department IBM), Anna Boldyreva (leading analyst of PARMA Technologies Group, PhD student at MIPT (NRU)), Alexander Surkov (Senior Clous Solution Architect VISEO, France), Roman Kutsev (CEO & Founder, TrainingData.ru). Employees of the Center for Artificial Intelligence of PetrSU Nikita Bazhenov, Sergey Marchenko, Nikolai Smirnov and Egor Rybin, as well as Kirill Gostev, head of the sector for coordinating the activities of innovation-technological centers and small innovative enterprises of PetrSU, took part in the development and implementation of the educational and practical block of the project.
Among the participants in the IT camp were not only PetrSU students, but also guests from the Murmansk Arctic State University, Cherepovets State University, and Novgorod State University.
We hope that the Karelian IT camp will expand the geography of its participants next year ,
the organizers expressed their hope.
