The honorary title “Person of the Year” was awarded to Doctor of Medical Sciences Natalya Vezikova
The Head of Karelia has awarded the honorary title “Person of the Year” in Karelia to Natalya Vezikova, head of the department of hospital therapy at PetrSU, chief freelance therapist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Karelia.
The title was awarded for selfless work, high professionalism and a significant contribution to protecting the health and life of the population during the fight against the threat of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. The corresponding decree was signed by the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov.
Natalya Nikolaevna Vezikova – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head. Department of Hospital Therapy of Petrozavodsk State University, Chief Freelance Therapist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic.
During the pandemic, Natalya Nikolaevna provides virtually round-the-clock telemedicine assistance to the repurposed centers of the republic for the treatment of coronavirus. She has made a significant contribution to the training of healthcare professionals by training hospital staff and healthcare providers that provide primary health care to patients with COVID-19. Training courses were organized for district doctors on the basis of the V.A. Baranov Republican Hospital.
Natalya Vezikova graduated from the medical faculty of PetrSU in 1987 and devoted herself to teaching, successfully combining it with the treatment process at the V.A. Baranov Republican Hospital. He is a member of the academic council of the medical institute and the dissertation council at the university. He has about 200 publications, including 9 teaching aids. In the Republican hospital, Natalya Nikolaevna provides consultations to the departments, treats the most difficult, diagnostically “unclear” patients.
