The IV Republican Pedagogical Forum was held in the Pedagogical Innovation Park of PetrSU.
During the period of self-isolation and restrictions on holding public events, the teacher especially lacked the warmth of live meetings, communication with interested colleagues, exchange of experience, so many teachers of Karelia were happy to hear the news about the IV republican pedagogical forum “Karjalan Nuorus”, organized jointly by the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology PetrSU and the Karelian regional public pedagogical organization “Teacher of the Republic of Karelia”.

From April 30 to May 2, educational workers of Karelia met at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU. The format of the event has changed: now teachers of any age living in Karelia could participate. The forum was held in a mixed mode, bringing together more than one hundred participants – teachers from all regions of the Republic of Karelia.

The theme of this year’s forum is Effective Education. What does it mean to be an effective teacher in a modern school? What competencies should he have? What are his lessons, classes, educational practices in the era of transformation of teacher education?

On the first day of the forum, a grand opening took place at which Natalya Vladimirovna Volkova, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Galina Anatolyevna Gorelikova, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rimma Evgenievna Ermolenko, Ph.D. public pedagogical organization “Teacher of the Republic of Karelia”.

After the director of the institute, Rimma Evgenievna Ermolenko, head of the department of technology, fine arts and design, Tatyana Aleksandrovna Voloshina, head of the department of pedagogy and psychology of childhood, Marina Vladimirovna Fadeeva, conducted three excursions around the Pedagogical Innopark, showing what changes have occurred in recent years, talked about immediate plans. The audience was particularly interested in the Center for Cognitive Development of the Child, as well as the City of Masters – the creative workshops of the Pedagogical Innopark.

Some teachers who got acquainted with the renewed classrooms of the institute seriously thought about the next stage of higher education, this year a new direction in the magistracy is opening at the institute.

At the request of the forum participants, in accordance with which the program was formed, Svetlana Vladimirovna Karpova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU, gave a lecture “Prevention of professional burnout. Further, the lecture “Time management of a modern teacher” was read by Yuri Ivanovich Melnik, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of PetrSU.

The second day of the forum was full of master classes by practicing teachers and educators, blogger teachers, a great success for the participants was the participation of Alexander Mikhailovich Fedorov, a professor at Moscow State Pedagogical University, in the forum, the third ended with an interactive game prepared by the curator of the Russian movement of schoolchildren Elena Kolechenok.

At the closing ceremony of the forum, Valeria Samoilova, an activist of the Karelian regional public pedagogical organization “Teacher of the Republic of Karelia”, presented certificates to the participants and letters of thanks.
