Time to raise individual human consciousness to accelerate the journey towards creating a Conscious Planet.-Spiritual leader Sadhguru

New Delhi: About Ten years down the line, humanity will be at its best time, because a person with greater consciousness will be valued over a person with knowledge. As people who read and accumulate memory are going to fall as it is  the time to raise human consciousness.

“The tragedy of humanity is that the world’s situations are always shaping human consciousness. Until we bring a situation where human consciousness will shape the world’s situations, our problems will never be over.’ Situations should not be shaping human consciousness. That would be putting the cart before the horse, it cannot work like that.” Said Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev ,an environmental and spiritual guru while speaking at the interactive session ’Conscious planet-the way forward ‘ organised by the FICCI ladies Organisation (FLO) the apex body of businesswomen in the country late last evening .

“’For the very first time in the history of humanity, we have the necessary resources, capability and technology to address every basic human problem on the planet. The only thing missing is human consciousness. One needs to create a stable and blissful chemistry within yourself and greatly enhance your ability to deal with all the variety of ups and downs in life.” Said Sadhguru.

“And when you are in a pleasant inner state, you are naturally pleasant to everyone and everything around you. No scripture or philosophy is needed to instruct you to be good to others. It is a natural outcome when you are feeling good within yourself. Inner pleasantness is a sure-fire insurance for the making of a peaceful society and a joyful world” said Sadhguru.

“There is a need to be in sync with nature and the universe, to avoid friction — both physical and mental. According to him, ailments of the body and mind were a result of friction caused by incongruence of the body with the universe.
The human body  is one of the most sophisticated chemical factories. Now the question is, are you a good manager or a lousy manager of the factory,” he said,

“Generally in most societies, people are trying to take a human being to a certain height through moral and ethical standards. Or in other words, from the day a child is born, we are trying to tell him he must be good. What does this mean? Somewhere, essentially we believe that the Creator has made a mistake and you are going to correct it. Somewhere we believe, essentially all human beings are born bad and we have to fix them. It is not so.” He added .

“Today, the most important work on the planet is to raise human consciousness. We are at a certain significant time in human history because for the first time, as humanity, we have the necessary capability, technology and resources to solve almost every human problem – fundamental problems like nourishment, health, education – on this planet; never before this was possible. The only thing that is missing is human consciousness. Raising human consciousness does not need any external inputs. All it takes is to make human beings willing” he said .

“FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) having 19 chapters and more than 9000 members across the nation has always been conscious and has been working for a more sustainable planet for our future generations. The Conscious Planet movement, started by Sadhguru is an effort to raise individual human consciousness and instil a sense of inclusiveness, such that human activity becomes oriented towards responsible environmental action.” Said Ms Sudha Shivkumar, National president, FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) while speaking on the occasion .

 “ In our actions we have to consider putting ecology over Economics for a liveable tomorrow. This session was conceptualised with the objective of developing better understanding and awareness on how we can balance ecology and economy and enable a conscious planet to live in.” said Ms Shivkumar .

“It is even more significant at a time when India is playing a critical role as it takes up the Presidency of G20, with the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth. One Family. One Future” – drawn from the Sanskrit phrase of the Maha Upanishad , which means “The World Is One Family”., she added.

For a conscious planet, empowerment of women is a critical area that needs to be focused on with greater momentum. • FLO has been working towards empowerment of women since last 40 years.        FLO believes in the power of women to change their own lives, their communities, and the world for the better.

Ms Shivkumar further said, “I firmly believe that if we are going to create a more conscious, a more sustainable world, we need to create a more equal one. The discussions cannot be complete without looking at a conscious planet though the gender lens.”
