Tomsk State University: TSU developed a digital service for recruiting international students
TSU Center of Competencies for Corporate Information Systems has developed a digital service for recruiting international students based on 1C-Bitrix24. It is available for the members of faculties and institutes and the staff of the TSU International Division. The service facilitates the interaction with applicants and enables drawing up and approving digital documents.
The service automatically gathers all the data from the personal profile of a TSU applicant at https://admissions.tsu.ru/ in 1C-Bitrix24, which gives all staff responsible for recruitment full and quick access to the data and eases the paperwork that follows. All data is stored in a 1C-Bitrix24 CRM-system database.
“New functions of the website and its integration with 1C-Bitrix24 retain digital profiles of TSU applicants and ensure collective access to it for everyone involved in the enrollment process. This system is very effective in considering the applicant’s documents, conducting exams, and, at the end, drawing up a form for further enrollment at TSU,” notes Aleksandra Prytkova, head of the TSU Department of International Student Recruitment and Admission Office of the International Division.
1C-Bitrix24 is a digital platform that provides a common information space for university staff and access to corporate services. The new international student recruitment service is based on a digital model of all TSU management processes that have been developed under the Priority 2030 project.
“CRM-module tools of 1C-Bitrix24 will increase effectiveness and transparency of admission as well as simplify getting the accompanying paperwork approved,” says Vadim Zhamnov, head of the TSU Center of Competencies for Corporate Information Systems. “1C-Bitrix is perfectly able to replace such platforms and services as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Trello, Microsoft Project, Google Drive etc.”
Vadim Zhamnov is certain that data and users will continue to migrate to Russian digital platforms. In the future, TSU Center of Competencies for Corporate Information Systems intends to open another 1C-Bitrix24-based service to manage projects in the Priority 2030 program.
