Toy Tales 2021| ‘नवाशय’ DIC, IIM Kashipur Toy Design Competition
Despite being the birthplace of worldwide renowned games such as Chess, Ludo, and Snakes & Ladders, India is not among the major toy creators in the world.
Toy Tales 2021 is conceptualized to challenge India’s creative minds to develop unique Toys and Games based on our civilization, history, and culture. It is supported by the Ministry of Education and organized by DIC, IIM Kashipur. There are several broad themes for the competition namely Environment, Fitness and Sport, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, Indian heritage, culture, mythology, history, ethos, technology, and ethnicity catering to different age groups. Toy Tales 2021 is a unique opportunity for students, teachers, start-ups, and toy experts/professionals of India to submit their innovative toys/games concepts and win prizes worth Rs.21000.’नवाशय’ DIC, IIM Kashipur invite you to submit your entries. About Design Innovation Centre
Design Innovation Centre (DIC) ‘NAVAASHAY’-नवाशय, is one of the twenty DICs being set up in the country by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), now MoE Government of India under the national initiative for setting up of Design Innovation Centre. The center aims to develop a design and innovation culture in the Institute by primarily addressing the problems of the North-West Himalayan region and other national priority areas. It dovetails the presence of three partner institutes (hub) – Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), (spokes) -National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand (NITUK), and G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology (GBPUA&T). नवाशय facilitates its partners to forge mutually beneficial linkages to initiate and assist innovation activities and act as a catalyst and facilitator for Innovation in the country. Its primary objective is to create an ecosystem that connects and facilitates various stakeholders on all aspects of the innovation process including training and support. By promoting innovation, channeling various incentives that benefit the cluster, DIC acts as an incubating body managing the growth of innovation in this ecosystem. नवाशय is a platform for Innovation activities to facilitate and guide the development of ideas into innovative applications that can benefit society directly or can be marketed successfully.
