Training programme on FRA held at Anantnag
Anantnag: With a view to provide necessary information to the concerned stakeholders for effective implementation of Forest Rights Act, a daylong Training Programme was today organized by District Administration, Anantnag, at Dak Banglow Khannabal.
The training programme was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner, (ADC) Anantnag. The programme was aimed to provide detailed training under FRA Rules 2006 by Master Trainers (DFOs), to SDMs, Tehsildars, DPO, BDO’s & Range Officers and to familiarize them about the various aspects of FRA 2006.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC directed the concerned officers to strictly follow the timelines of the training schedule to ensure awareness of the Forest Rights Act at gross route level. He also directed them to involve the DDC & BDC members besides PRIs for smooth and proper awareness among the general public.
ADC in his address said that the Master Trainers need to be well versed with the Forest Rights who will have to further impart the training to Panchayat Level Forest Rights Committees and other stakeholders.
Meanwhile, DFO provided detailed knowledge to the participants about the Forest Rights Act and the procedure to implement the rights on ground.
During the training, the Trainees were taught the whole procedure for conducting the training at District and Sub Divisional levels by framing Forest Right Committees at each level.
