More Universities Join the College Board’s India Global Higher Education Alliance Ahead of Forum in Mumbai

Mumbai: The College Board announced that four more innovative universities have joined the India Global Higher Education Alliance, an international consortium of prominent institutions that have come together to foster collaboration and sharing of global best practices to advance access and excellence in higher education. All Alliance members accept the SAT exam as a part of their admissions process.

The new institutions are:

Krea University, Chennai, offers B.A. Honours/B.Sc. Honours degrees featuring interwoven learning, including required core and skills courses, chosen concentration and elective courses, immersive, experiential learning, capstone thesis and co-curriculars – a new paradigm, ideal for the connected world, to ready students for the future.

GD Goenka University, Gurugram, is a private university ​offering programs from diploma to doctoral level in various disciplines, including engineering and management. The University focuses on holistic development of students through inclusive, innovative, and value-based education and research.

Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, research-focused, and student-centric University offering a full range of academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. Committed to excellence in teaching, research and service, the University aims to serve the higher education needs of India and the world beyond.

Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru, provides art and design education in an environment of creativity to maximize individual potential. Its art and design professionals, educators, scholars, researchers and student body are deeply networked with local, regional and global communities.

All four institutions will join the other Alliance Members and guests from schools and NGOs across the country at the India Global Alliance Forum. The Forum, to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai, will take place on Tuesday, October 9. The event brings together a community of dedicated educators working to deliver opportunity to students around the globe. The professional learning for participants will cover general university enrollment and admission themes and trends, including different global admissions processes, 21st Century classrooms and how to leverage data in student decision making.
