Universities of the North-West and other regions of Russia united in a scientific and educational consortium

15 universities and research centers, in particular, will be engaged in the development of microelectronics, the preservation of the unique natural ecosystems of the North, and will create a tourism industry in the North and the Arctic.
For the development of higher education and science, innovative development of the economy and social sphere facing the regions of the European North of Russia, PetrSU initiated the creation of this consortium. The consortium will have to solve the problems of digitalization of basic industries and the social sphere, the development of domestic microelectronics and the IT industry, work on the tasks of preserving the unique natural ecosystems of the North, develop agriculture and aquaculture, create a tourism industry in the North and the Arctic, promote the development of talents, develop healthcare in the North and arctic territories.

The creation of the consortium was supported by the country’s leading high-tech companies – PJSC AFK Sistema, Rosatom, Clover Group (JSC Transmashholding).
