The Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship at the Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow, UK is partnering with the Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur, India to organise an entrepreneurship conference at IIM Kashipur on December 15-18, 2022.

Dr Sreevas Sahasranamam, Associate Professor at Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and co-lead of the conference, said: “The conference is aimed at understanding and supporting the rapidly growing start-up ecosystem in India by bringing together academic scholars, entrepreneurs, and other ecosystem actors.”

During the first day of the conference, academics from the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship will be delivering an Entrepreneurship Mindset workshop for SMEs and startups. There will also be a workshop for doctoral students to support them in developing high-quality research work. Around 70 research papers were submitted for this conference, and the top 26 papers selected after a rigorous review process would be presented during the event. There will also be an interactive session with Editors of top entrepreneurship and innovation journals such as the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, International Small Business Journal, and Technology Forecasting & Social Change.

Through this conference, we hope to be able to bring together an engaged group of entrepreneurship scholars whose efforts could inform both the theory and practice of entrepreneurship in the rapidly developing Indian entrepreneurship ecosystem goingforward.
