UPASICON 2021 to begin from October 22 at JNMC
Aligarh : Department of Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will host surgeons from various Uttar Pradesh based medical colleges, hospitals and institutes for sharing their experiences and enhancing skills in the two-day UP Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India Conference (UPASICON) 2021 beginning from October 22.
“Even as the pandemic continues to affect academic activities, this conference will be an engaging experience with thought provoking programmes in the online and offline modes. The U P Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India is the oldest and biggest chapter of Association of Surgeons of India and has contributed in a positive manner in the field of surgical education”, said AMU Vice Chancellor and Chief Patron of the programme, Prof Tariq Mansoor.
The organising committee comprises Prof Rakesh Bhargava (Co-patron), Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui (Co-patron), Prof Afzal Anees (Organising Chairman), Prof Amjad Ali Rizvi (Organising Secretary), Dr Mohd Sadik Akhtar (Treasurer), Prof S H Harris (Co-Organising Chairman), Prof Atia Zakaur Rab (Co-Organising Chairman), Dr Wasif Mohammad Ali (Co-Organising Secretary), Dr Rajeshwar S Chaudhary (Co-Organising Secretary), Dr Shahbaz Habib Faridi (Joint- Organising Secretary), Dr Mansoor Ahmad (Joint- Organising Secretary), Dr Md Yusuf Afaque (Joint- Organising Secretary), Dr G P Varshney (Joint- Organising Secretary), Dr S Varshney (Joint- Organising Secretary), Dr Mohammad Nafees Ahmad (Joint- Organising Secretary) and Dr Syed Aakif Faridi (Joint- Organising Secretary).
Meanwhile, a pre-conference Cadaveric Workshop is scheduled on October 21 and a Workshop on Robotic Surgery Simulation will take place from October 21 to 23.
