Ural Federal University: 40 University Students Received Governor’s Scholarships

The results of the competition for the Sverdlovsk Region Governor’s Scholarship for the academic year 2022/23 were announced. Forty students became scholarship recipients at UrFU. A total of 120 scholarships for university students are provided annually. In 2022, 19 organizations took part in the competition, and 194 candidates were submitted.

The highest score in the entire region – 481 – this year has a second-year Master’s student of the Institute of New Materials and Technologies of Ural Federal University, Razilya Muftakhetdinova.

“I am engaged in the study of structural features of meteoritic matter before and after high-intensity impacts. I am also the executor of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research grant on Cryo-micro-Raman spectroscopy and NGS sequencing of biomarkers in inclusions in lake ice of subglacial Antarctic Lake Vostok”, told Razilya Muftakhetdinova.

Second place in the ranking with 432 points went to Yulia Mednikova, a second-year Master’s student at the UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management. She has been a researcher since her second year of Bachelor’s degree and her field of interest is corporate finance. Yulia is a scholarship holder of the Potanin Foundation, the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.
