Ural Federal University: Best Software Engineers and Radio Technicians Determined

Students from Samara, Orenburg, Yaroslavl, Vladivostok, St. Petersburg, and Moscow won the team competition of the educational forum in the areas of software engineering and radio engineering of the “I am a Professional” Olympiad, an intensive organized by Ural Federal University, which ended in Sochi.

In the individual competition Andrei Syromyatnikov, a student of Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University, Denis Starobudov from Volgograd State University and Artyom Lomakin from the Tver State Technical University were the best.

“Now we are waiting for forum and Olympiad participants among our students: the university is developing a number of areas in partnership with employers both in engineering, economics, management, and information technology. If students choose UrFU, then winners and runners-up will be admitted to our school without exams, and they can also expect a significant increased scholarship from the first month of study,” said Maxim Shnyrev, Head of Division for Continuing Education and Career Guidance at UrFU.

The activity of the teams during the forum was monitored by lecturers – representatives of IT departments of leading Russian companies, professional psychologists and trainers who work at UrFU and represent the corporate university of TMK2U and Sinara Group.

The forum program included lectures, trainings, master classes, a career marathon, and evening entertainment contests. In addition, the participants defended business ideas and prepared video projects “Portrait of an Ideal Engineer”.
