Ural Federal University Builds Up Relations With Africa

The Second International Parliamentary Conference “Russia – Africa” is being held in Moscow at the State Duma on 19-20 March. More than 40 official parliamentary delegations from the majority of African countries are taking part in the event.

The conference is attended by scientists, educators and experts from both Russia and African countries, the State Duma deputies, Heads of Federal Executive Bodies, Federation Senators, Heads of Legislative Bodies of Russian regions, and representatives of the business community.

The Middle Urals region is represented by Lyudmila Berg, the Deputy Minister for International and External Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk region, and Sergey Tushin, the Vice-Rector for International Relations.

The conference is aimed at strengthening parliamentary cooperation with African countries. The Sverdlovsk region actively develops international relations with African countries and participates in the establishment of economic cooperation. The region also solves problems in the field of science, education, and security.
