The Russian Academy of Sciences has announced the results of the annual contest for young scientists and students of higher educational institutions. Representatives of the Ural Federal University were among the winners. The competition committee highly appreciated the research work and originality in solving scientific problems of two researchers of the university.
Polina Pavlova, a Junior Researcher at the Laboratory of Brain and Neurocognitive Development of the Ural Federal University, received the award for achievements in the field of psychology. Her work “Neuropsychological Development of Children: Psychometric Studies of Modern Techniques” was awarded.
“My work consists of a series of three articles. All of them have been published in prestigious domestic and foreign scientific journals on psychology. In the research I have studied features of neuropsychological development of children of early childhood. The results of the work can be useful for adaptation of techniques and evaluation of children’s development in a new cultural environment, as well as for creation of original techniques for work with children who require a special approach. I would also like to thank my colleagues who helped me with the scientific research,” says Polina Pavlova.
In economics, the award went to Ekaterina Rozhina, who graduated this year with a bachelor’s degree from the Graduate School of Economics and Management. Her work is devoted to the assessment of ethnic diversity in Russian regions and its impact on economic diversification.
