Ural Federal University hosts presentation of the youth community “Challenge”

The presentation of the youth community “Challenge” took place at the Ural Federal University. The main goal of the community is to ensure that active young people promote the scientific achievements of Russia in the media. The community brings together young people from all over the country with a professional interest in science and culture.

“We give young people the opportunity to realise their scientific, media and creative projects,” says Natalia Popova, First Deputy Director General of “Innopraktika” and President of the “Challenge” Community. – They can apply and, if necessary, they will be trained to present their own project properly, to prepare it, and to get access to high-tech companies. And then they present their project to our large corporations and high-tech companies. This opens up huge opportunities both in terms of media promotion of their own scientific or creative project and in terms of high-tech companies as prospective employers.

Community members will be able to participate in casting for the “Challenge” reality show and will have access to media resources to create unique creative content. In addition, they will be able to apply for grants to implement their creative ideas, including their own media project.

After the presentation, the students interviewed Natalia Popova, as well as Alina Zinnatullina, General Director of Insight People Production Center, Anna Dunayeva, coordinator of the student blogger project “Razgon”, and Mikhail Garbuz and Maria Ryndyk, participants of the first season of the show “Challenge” on TNT, from the team of “Intellectuals”.

Natalia Popova appreciated her visit to the Ural Federal University and the held community presentation.

“I am very pleased with the Ural Federal University, one of the largest universities in the country, in some ways even bigger than the Moscow State University,” said Natalia Popova. – It’s full of young, energetic, talented young people. I am sure that many of them will be interested in the opportunities offered by the “Challenge” community and will be able to make it happen. I am on the board of the Priority 2030 program and I am familiar with the university’s development program. This program has the broadest coverage of the innovative, high-tech agenda. Today I have had the opportunity to have a look at its practical implementation. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude for the commitment of the rector, Victor Koksharov. I believe that together we will find it easier to take the steps that are always the most difficult at the beginning.

Natalia Popova expressed confidence that she would visit Ekaterinburg and the Ural Federal University more than once.

“We have implemented major programs through our engineering centers. UrFU also participates in the program of the National Technology Transfer Association. It is important that we continue to turn a lot of promising ideas into real life. I hope to visit Ekaterinburg again and see how programs with such companies as “Sinara” and “Uralmash” work. And, of course, to involve as much as possible not only the university itself, but also the whole high-tech companies cluster around it,” emphasized Natalia Popova.

The presentation of the Challenge project was also attended by Mikhail Khodorovsky, CEO of the “Sinara Group”, Jan Tsenter, CEO of the “UZTM KARTEX” Management Company, and Andrey Serov, Executive Vice President of “Gazprombank”.
